Doug James, a.k.a. Frater IO Pan, has been a member of the Order since taking his Minerval initiation in 1978 EV. In 1997 EV the Grand Master Sabazius appointed Doug Grand Secretary General of O.T.O. U.S.A., an office he held 1997-2001 EV. He founded 93 Camp in 1982 EV, chartered by Hymaneus Alpha, which subsequently became an Oasis, and then a Lodge, and is still active today. He and his wife Karen have been practicing E.G.C. clergy since 1983 EV. He was ordained a Bishop in Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica in 1998 EV, and is the Most Wise Sovereign of Proserpente Rose+Croix Chapter in San Clemente, California. He lectured on the Tarot at Sekhet-Maat Lodge (see here) and NOTOCON II in Portland, Oregon; on the Tools of Divination at NOTOCON III in Long Beach, California; and on Initiation at NOTOCON IV in Portland, Oregon. He is a graduate with honors in Philosophy from the University of California at Irvine. More recently, he completed an M.A. in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University.

Brother Doug has a California teaching credential and has made a living teaching the crowned and conquering elementary school children for the last 31 years. He has been honored as an educator by the State Superintendent of Public Schools, his school district, and his peers. He is married, has 2 children, and 3 grandchildren.
