Talk:Treasury/Chart of Accounts
From Sekhet-Maat Lodge
To my mind, the Event (& sales) fund is the closest thing we have to a non-purposed account. Cafepress sales, by the way, should go there and not to the media fund. The event fund should carry a balance so that we can fund events, but surplus monies can be moved from there to any of the other funds as needed. --Fr. HydraLVX 16:49, 7 June 2007 (EDT)
- Yes, that all sounds more correct. I'm not sure why I was thinking that that was a capacity of the Temple Fund. --Pangloss 12:13, 8 June 2007 (EDT)
Event fund: Also included is all income and expenses for vending items, cafepress income as well as any expenses for cafepress. --Misskim 17:41, 7 June 2007 (EDT)
- Done. --Pangloss 12:13, 8 June 2007 (EDT)
Initiation fund: Also included in expenses for this are initiation feasts as well as QM expenses and misc initiation expenses. --Misskim 17:42, 7 June 2007 (EDT)
- Done. --Pangloss 12:13, 8 June 2007 (EDT)
- Also just noticed, and this is not a big deal but for your own edification I thought I would point out: "USGL initiation fees and annual dues" -- the fees do not go to USGL, but to us. The amounts are set by USGL, and we add $10 for non-members (who must come from 100mi outside the valley). I suggest rewording as "Initiation fees and USGL national dues." --Fr. As for formatting, one suggestion I have is to put headers at each table, so that they show up in a table of contents at the beignning of the page. This would make this page easier to browse. --Fr. HydraLVX 17:47, 7 June 2007 (EDT)
- I know little about wiki-speak. Can you point me to an example of what you're talking about? --Pangloss 12:13, 8 June 2007 (EDT)
- You bet. Check out the Goals page. See the clickable table of contents at the top? That is automagically built from the headers which are bounded by multiple equal signs. So you could for example put "assets," "equity," etc. as headers like this, and they would not only be more visible, but it would build a clickable TOC. --Fr. HydraLVX 12:55, 8 June 2007 (EDT)
