The Social Fence
- A social fence is a paradox
- wherein the accomplishment of a common goal
- depends on voluntary contribution from a group.
- Individuals benefit, however,
- from the group's accomplishment of the goal
- whether or not the individual contributes.
- Yet, if no individuals contribute
- then all individuals will be worse off
- than if all had contributed.

- To scale the fence,
- sign the membership roll at your local O.T.O. body
- and commit to making regular contributions
- or increase your current level of contribution.
