Aleister Crowley is best known today as a founding father of modern occultism. His wide, hypnotic eyes peer at us from the cover of The Beatles'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and his influence can be found everywhere in popular culture. Crowley, also known as the Great Beast, has been the subject of several biographies, some painting him as a misunderstood genius, others as a manipulative charlatan. None of them have looked seriously at his career as an agent of British Intelligence. Using documents gleaned from British, American, French, and Italian archives, Secret Agent 666 sensationally reveals that Crowley played a major role in the sinking of the Lusitania, a plot to overthrow the government of Spain, the thwarting of Irish and Indian nationalist conspiracies, and the 1941 flight of Rudolf Hess. Author Richard B. Spence argues that Crowley-in his own unconventional way-was a patriotic Englishman who endured years of public vilification in part to mask his role as a secret agent. The verification of the Great Beast's participation in the twentieth century's most astounding government plots will likely blow the minds of history buff s and occult aficionados alike.
Two millennia ago, a charismatic Jewish teacher emerged from the sands of Roman Palestine. His wise, sometimes enigmatic teachings, his ability to heal the sick, and the miraculous feats he performed before the eyes of his many followers brought him fame, admiration and adoration, as well as resentment and ultimately, death. Yet, in the score of centuries that passed, his life's story has been told and re-told more than that of any man who has ever lived. Who was this Jesus? Was he the King of the Jews? The Son of God? A prophet? A politician? A religious teacher? Was he an individual caught up in a drama much greater than himself, perhaps divinely inspired to fulfill an age-old prophecy? In his first novel, bestselling author Lon Milo DuQuette tells a remarkable tale of what might have been... Through the magic of his narrative, DuQuette brings to life the historical and cultural milieu from which Jesus, John the Baptist, and the woman known in the Gospels as Mary Magdalene arose. The streets and temples and homes of ancient Galilee appear vividly before us, as do the priests, soldiers, merchants, wandering prophets, and Gnostic initiates of the time. Thoughtful readers of all persuasions will discover that this wonderful story, while admittedly fiction, is also based on the fruits of modern scholarship -- making Accidental Christ not only a pleasure to read, but also a provocative tale, a fascinating story that both inspires and challenges our thinking about Jesus.
First published in Detroit in 1919 e.v., the legendary Blue Equinox was Crowley's first attempt to publicize the principles and aims of the magical secret society Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) and its allied order the A.'.A.'. In it, Crowley laid out the esoteric, social, ethical, and philosophical ideas that he believed provided the framework for a new ethics and the liberated morality of the future. Upon publication, the book was threatened with suppression by the authorities of the day. Many of the papers in the Blue Equinox anticipated social liberties we tend to take for granted today.
This astonishing volume of rich, primary materials contains letters, documents, ritual texts, meditations, and lectures pertaining to Steiner's teaching of the Misraim Service. Ritual symbols (such as the mallet, the triangle, the right angle, the compass, the rule, the Rose Cross, and the pillars of Jachin and Boaz), as well as the Temple Legend of Hiram Abiff and Solomon and the story of Cain and Abel, all find their place here. The ritual texts are given in full, with illustrations and descriptions of the making of the ritual objects.
For more than three hundred years the practice of Masonic rituals of initiation has been part of Western culture, spreading far beyond the boundaries of traditional Freemasonry. Henrik Bogdan explores the historical development of these rituals and their relationship with Western esotericism. Beginning with the Craft degrees of Freemasonry—the blueprints, as it were, of all later Masonic rituals of initiation—Bogdan examines the development of the Masonic High Degrees, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn—the most influential of all nineteenth-century occultist initiatory societies—and Gerald Gardner's Witchcraft movement of the 1950s, one of the first large-scale Western esoteric New Religions Movements.

  • Crowley, Aleister
This book contains key introductory material to the O.T.O., a contemporary occult society, along with a history of the Order after Crowley's death. The format of this edition matches that of the first Equinox series published with Crowley as editor and includes magical instruction, communications to O.T.O. members (all the "dirt" on court cases the O.T.O. has been involved in), and original works of fiction and poetry. As part of this latter category, this book features an illustrated study of the works of underground filmmaker Kenneth Anger with a complete filmography.
The Book of the Law is offered in a deluxe, hardcover edition fittingly issued in celebration of the hundredth anniversary of Liber AL vel Legis. The holy text that forms the basis of Crowley's belief system, Thelema, was transmitted to him by the entity known as Aiwass over the course of three fateful April days in 1904 e.v. With his wife Rose as the medium, during what would become known as the Cairo Working. Crowley dutifully transcribed the communications on hotel stationery. The deluxe edition of The Book of the Law features new scans of the original manuscript, with Crowley's notes and annotations found in later drafts of the work. It also contains new material from variant editions and an introduction by Hymenaeus Beta, head of O.T.O.
The first collection of writings received by the author in trance states, this material forms the basis of his teachings. Extensive bibliographies and a preface provide a context for how the material was received and written. Produced and supervised by the O.T.O.
Now revised and corrected, Magick is an indispensable textbook for students of Thelemic Magick or general esotericism. Aleister Crowley brings mathematical theory, organized observation, and experimentally verified practice to bear on mysticism, yoga, theurgy, thaumaturgy, and all branches of magic. This second-revised edition of Crowley's magnum opus features new, more legible typesetting, text corrections based on a previously unseen corrected proof, and the previously unpublished Liber Testis Testitudinis. The original Book of the Law was re-scanned for this edition, using the latest technology, for the clearest facsimile possible. Edited, annotated, and introduced by Frater Hymenaeus Beta.
This edition includes Liber 777, Gematria (from The Equinox Volume 1, Number 5), and Sepher Sephiroth (from The Equinox Volume 1, Number 8).
An admirable collection of Crowley's aphorisms. Witty, subtle, and instructive paradoxes that challenge and exhilarate.
The Equinox of the Gods presents an amazing description of the circumstances leading up to Crowley's transcription of The Book of the Law. Includes extensive biographical data, highly personal diary extracts, ritual workings, several illustrations and a full color reproduction of the Stele of Revealing. Also includes the full text of The Book of the Law plus a facsimile of Crowley's original handwritten manuscript. This is a beautifully produced and completely new, corrected edition of this long out-of-print masterpiece.
Crowley's personal description of the Thoth Tarot deck, or Tarot of the Egyptians. Includes his theory of tarot; description of the Atu, or Greater Arcana, and the Lesser Arcana; and numerous illustrations.
  • Thoth Tarot (cards) by Aleister Crowley and Frieda Harris - Premier Edition
Special printing of the bestselling tarot deck in larger, high profile format. Specially designed large format packaging. Greater visibility with less pilferage. All cases measure 4-5/8" x 7-1/4" and include 18x20" full color spread sheet. Includes 3 versions of the Magus Card, painted by Lady Freida Harris.
The Vision and the Voice is the record of Crowley's visionary exploration of the 30 AEthyrs of the Enochian system of magick developed by the Elizabethan magicians Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelley. These visions were received by Crowley in Mexico in 1900 e.v. and Algeria in 1909 e.v., with the assistance of Victor B. Neuburg. This text is the source of many of the spiritual doctrines of Thelema, including much of its theogony, particularly concerning the All-Father Chaos and the goddess Babalon. It gives an account of the transcendence of the Ego by crossing the Abyss, and attaining the grade of Master of the Temple. This new edition adds previously unpublished material, including explanatory diagrams, illustrations designed by Crowley, and the actual Algerian diary record. Unlike all previous editions of The Vision and the Voice, this volume includes Crowley's extensive and illuminating commentary.
  • DuQuette, Lon Milo
Revised with new material and The Rites of Eleusis. Lon Milo DuQuette deciphers and explains Crowley's texts and more important rituals. The Magick of Aleister Crowley is a clear introduction to the works of Crowley by a modern master of the occult and one of the wittiest writers in the field. DuQuette takes the mystery out of both the rituals themselves and Crowley's writing in this modern grimoire. Step by step, he presents a course of study in plain English, with examples of rituals and explanations of their significance. DuQuette also includes a course of study for Crowley's original works with an extensive bibliography and fastidious footnotes.
Sketching out a fascinating network of historic figures, cults, and Christendom, this book by an occult studies expert and respected authority on magic and sorcery takes western spiritual traditions seriously—but examines them with common sense and self-effacing humor. Working backward from the Freemasons to one of their original orders, the 14th-century e.v. Knights Templar, the account considers sorcery, heresy, and intrigues; explores the legend that the Knights possessed a powerful secret dangerous to the Church of Rome; and finds an essential clue to the order's practices in their connection to the biblical Solomon, king of Israel in the 10th century a.e.v.
Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot was his final opus, the culmination of a lifetime of occult study and practice. With artist Lady Frieda Harris, he condensed the core of his teaching—astrology, Qabalah, magick, and alchemy—into the 78 cards of the tarot. Although Crowley's own Book of Thoth (see above) provides insight into the cards, it is an advanced and dated book. What has been missing, and what Crowley authority Lon Milo DuQuette has created, is an introductory text for the deck. In clear language, DuQuette provides everything you need to know about Crowley's fundamental principles to get the most out of using the Thoth deck. Many use the deck simply because the artwork is so beautiful, but there is so much more to it than that. DuQuette starts with the basic historical background of this extremely popular deck before delving into descriptions of each card in depth, from both a purely tarot perspective and from an expanded, magickal point of view. Each card is described in detail regarding its straight tarot meaning, which is then expanded upon with all the other attributions Crowley intended. This unique guide will be of great interest to all tarot readers who use the Thoth Tarot—especially those looking for correspondences with other occult systems to enhance their readings—and will be treasured by students of Aleister Crowley's works.
  • Newcomb, Jason Augustus
For the first time since its initial translation into English at the turn of the century, Jason Newcomb has reinterpreted the sacred magic of Abramelin the Mage into a completely relevant program for contemporary seekers. In the thirty-one chapters of 21st Century Mage, Newcomb has reinvented the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel ritual. He lays out a course of practice and prayer—and introduces a whole new generation to Aleister Crowley.

The New Hermetics is a powerful course of instruction that can help anyone master themselves to rule their world.
Sexual Sorcery delves into the various techniques, types and rituals of sex magick—using magick to enhance sex, ecstatic and mystical experiences during sex and more esoteric techniques of sexual invocation, evocation and alchemy.
  • Wasserman, James
This beautifully illustrated lexicon of the major symbology of the great esoteric traditions includes a chapter on secret societies and their role in safeguarding and transmitting of esoteric knowledge, a full-color reproduction of the medieval alchemical masterpiece Splendor Solis. Symbol in the esoteric sense is not to be confused with allegory; symbolic images are the alphabet of the "theory of correspondences" that underlies all the Mystery traditions of the West. This theory recognizes the interdependent relationship of all things and provides, for example, the basis of the belief that the position of the stars in the heavens will influence our thought, emotion, and perception. It also explains how the alchemist's work with base metals will result in a transformation of his own consciousness. In The Mystery Traditions Among the splendid offerings in this collection are all 22 paintings of Splendor Solis in full color and works by significant artists and esoteric thinkers such as Leonardo da Vinci, Robert Fludd, Austin Osman Spare, Harry Smith, Manly P. Hall, and Raymond Lull.
This collection includes Crowley's two most important instructional writings on the design and purpose of the magical diary.
In The Templars and the Assassins: The Militia of Heaven, occult scholar and secret society member James Wasserman provides compelling evidence that the interaction of the Knights Templar and the Assassins in the Holy Land transformed the Templars from the Pope's private army into a true occult society, from which they would sow the seeds of the Renaissance and the Western Mystery Tradition. Both orders were destroyed as heretical some seven hundred years ago, but Templar survivors are believed to have carried the secret teachings of the East into an occult underground, from which sprang both Rosicrucianism and Masonry. Assassin survivors, known as Nizari Ismailis, flourish to this day under the spiritual leadership of the Aga Khan. Wasserman strips the myths from both groups and penetrates to the heart of their enlightened beliefs and rigorous practices, delivering the most probing picture yet of these holy warriors.
