Last year our Lodge brought in over $4200 more than our expenses, the bulk of which is now held in reserve to fund larger events or is safely tucked away in our Rainy Day fund. This puts us in a great position to be able to branch out, hold more sophisticated events and put more into promulgating the Law.
Self Sufficiency

Temple Fund
We increased our self-sufficiency by 25% over last year (really stunning achievement, especially given a 15% increase in rent part-way through the year), and we are virtually self-sufficient. In the next three years we aim to reach 125% so that we can have a steadily growing Rainy Day fund. We will be stepping up our goal for next year to reach at least full self-sufficiency. It should be easy to beat this since this year we are only a few points away from that target.
Sales & Events Fund
Busy, busy month, event-wise. Last Night in Troy, Solstice, Kephale O, Very Vulgar New Year and the upcoming Certified Initiator Training all figure into the Event Fund flow this month.
Thoth Deck Conservation Fund
We've established a new fund dedicated to holding money that we intend to donate to OTO-IHQ's project to conserve the original Frieda Harris Thoth tarot deck paintings. An anonymous benefactor has committed to matching dollar-for-dollar any contributions of $100 or more. This month we saw one $100 contribution and the corresponding $100 match. Let's keep this going! Our goal is to reach $1000 before handing off the fund to IHQ.
