Michael Kolson has been a student of magick and the occult for the past 20 years, with a heavy focus from the beginning on Thelema. His particular areas of interest are with Thelemic history and practice with a general focus on the history and development of magick. He received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Buffalo.

Michael has been working on publishing a series of Crowley’s students’ diaries. As an outgrowth of this work, he recently delivered a lecture on Leah Hirsig and her relationship with Crowley. This will form the basis of a biography of Leah that will go along with the planned publication of her extant diaries.

He joined O.T.O. one snowy night in Buffalo, NY in March 1993 e.v. and served for a time as Secretary of Pyramid Lodge. He is currently a member of the Electoral College and will finish his 11-year term this year. He now resides in Seattle, WA and is the proprietor of Night of Pan Books.

Join us Saturday, March 28, 2009 e.v., where Michael will offer his perspective on Thelema as a panelist in the eighth annual Thelemic Symposium. Click here to purchase tickets for this event.
