Jon Sewell

Jon Sewell is a Washington State native who has lived in Seattle since 1987 ev. Raised in a religious household as a member of a large and diverse family, Jon developed an interest in music, theater, and spirituality at a young age.

Since initiating in 1999 ev, Jon has been involved in a variety of public and private ritual celebrations within the O.T.O., as ordained clergy, initiator and as a writer and director of rituals and plays. After more than a decade in the underground Seattle music scene, Jon branched into musical theater late in 2000 ev, and began producing Aleister Crowley's Rites of Eleusis as rock operas in early 2001 ev.

A talented composer and performer, Jon cast himself in major roles in his productions in order to satisfy his desire to perform, and explore the many facets of the Eleusinian Mysteries from a participatory perspective. With Eleusyve Productions, the theater and media production company he helped found, Jon’s work with these Rites has developed a distinctive style, receiving positive reviews from esoteric and mainstream media alike.
