Members and invited guests only. Inquire at
I plunged my stamen-shapen spud
Into a pool of crimson mud.
Yet stars I saw; and camel-jinn
And moons upon the winds that scud.
The sun I saw; and night borne up
upon some dark eternal flood.
Ay! mine Habib! thy body's key
Is like a scarlet poppy-bud.
Strike in my bell thy clapper; wake
The cosmic echo in my blood!
For El Qahar thy beauty broods,
Of thy perfections chews the cud.

New Year's Eve is celebrated wide and far in our fair city. We would like our members and their guests to join us this year in shunning the vulgar Christian Calendar and instead, enjoy some Thelemic Fraternity with us at Sekhet-Maat Lodge.

Our celebration of the vulgar New Year will begin on December 31, 2008 e.v. at 9:00pm. Open to Sekhet-Maat Lodge Members and their guests, this costume ball will be a place to celebrate and have a safe haven to enjoy the beauty and ambiance of Thelemic Fraternity.

Our theme is Eastern Temple, so come dressed in middle- or far-eastern attire. You can find some economical ideas at India4U on Belmont or at various other import stores along Hawthorne.

Music & Dancing

We will have several hours of pre-recorded music from the collections of our membership, along with party lights, effects projection and more. Click here to see a partial playlist.

Food & Drink

Admission includes a substantial selection of hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages, and a small glass of champagne for the midnight toast. You'll also find microbrews, wines, and champagne available for purchase throughout the evening.

Sekhet-Maat Lodge will have a selection of items for sale, including Abramelin oil, mugs, stickers, t-shirts, posters and more.

Midnight Toast

Those of the proper age will be treated to a glass of champagne for a midnight toast by the Lodge Master.

Any profit resulting from this event will be used in our mission to promulgate and establish the Law of Thelema.
