From Sekhet-Maat Lodge

Bonnie Henderson-Winnie (Soror Amrita Rosa Gloria Mundi) is a ritualist and writer, diviner, magician, amateur entomologist, theatre-worker, wigmaker and makeup artist, as well as a worker in wood, paint, fiber, glass and various other media. She has worked full time in opera, theatre, dance, and film for nearly a decade and is currently the Wardrobe Mistress at Portland Center Stage, Portland's largest regional theatre.

Bonnie is the founding Past-Master of Sekhet-Maat Lodge, and served as an active initiator from 1996 through 2001 ev. She has written and performed many rituals for solo and group working for a wide range of purposes, from seasonal and event-based rituals to baptism & confirmation rites for the E.G.C., including the grand opening rite for the current SML space. The scripts for many of these were published in Lion & Serpent, and can also be found at Sekhet-Maat Lodge: Rituals. Bonnie's areas of special interest include spirit evocation, familiar and fetch-work, initiation, and the ever-present quest for deepening Knowledge & Conversation with the Great Mystery. In support of this, she has studied and practiced several traditional and weapons-form styles of TaiChi, pranayama, spagiry (plant alchemy), and various styles of meditation and trance-work.

Recent & current projects Bonnie has been working on include Salon Samekh (a monthly Arts workshop), development of a divinatory consultation practice, a series of finely carved lances, and the magical mapping of the city of Portland, Oregon – a city in which she has the good fortune to dwell with her longtime partner, two cats, and the occasional praying mantis.
